I purchased this artist's 2011 calendar (City Dreams Wall Calendar 2011) last year and liked it so much that I decided to get this one to follow it up. One of the things I liked best about the 2011 calendar was the sort of indistinct, somewhat amorphous shapes in some of the paintings. There were bright colors, but it didn't feel insipid. This year's calendar's paintings seem to have lines that are a bit more clearly defined, and some of the images are considerably more sunny and bright than the previous calendar, but I still love the style and point of view.The art tends to focus on night scenes most often, with views of the sky and open areas within the city landscape. The colors are rich and beautiful -- lots of blues, in particular -- and the subject matter is attractive to those of us who live in an urban environment but don't tend to see it as romantically as this artist does. Her paintings can open your eyes to the loveliness of the city in all its variations.

Here it is, September of 2014, and I still have this calendar up on my wall. I hope there's another one for 2015!
